after market axle question

Yamaha

i bought a yfz450 with a aftermarket axle already installed. to day i noticed that it is set up wider on the left side than right. why would this be? racing a circle track? and also how do you adjust the axle to make the spacing even or do stock yfz's come with wider spacing to the left side? thanks for the help guys!

The width is usually set by spacers at the end of the axle. Depending on where you place the hub in relation to the spacer, will determine how wide you are. If you put more spacers outside the hub the narrower you would be and vise-versa. The spacing should be equal to the centerline of the frame. I have run wire on the right and narrower on the left for flat-track, but only on the ice.
