Jetting problems 2008 ktm xcf 250

I live in the northwest and I can't seem to get the bike

running right help!

Get a jd jetting kit will save alot of headaches.Thaes bikes come so lean from the factory because of the emisions crap

what are you running for jets?

Why are we assuming there is somthing wrong with the jets? Stock was very close on these, JD take a slightly different approach with less taper on the needle and more main jet, I suspect the JD is slightly leaner in mid throttle positions but its not like stock was not workable and JD setting have had excelent reviews so.

You need to start with "how much compression does it have?"

#42 pilot jet

Red Needle, pos #4

#180 main jet

Thicker O-ring on the linkage

Leak jet from kit installed in the float bowl

1 ¼ turns out

I also turned up the idle a bit. I was having problems stalling and a hard time starting, but bumping up the idle fixed all of that.

The bike has a FMF Power Core muffler with a quiet insert.
