i have no idea

but i doubt it.

dont be a weight wheenie minimoto! you sound like a bmxer or somthin!

i need to be able to load my bike with out a ramp.(only in the little truck) plus those dam unexpected rain ruts that need to be wheelied over :bonk:

whats gonna be the most it adds? 5 pounds? and thats being generous

For the time, labor and money involved, I doubt it would be worth the difference.

oh yeah i forgot they changed the brakes too.

The new stuff on the KX450F is 48mm. KX250F is 47mm. Someone certainly seems to think it makes enough difference??

Heck -- they might even weigh less ! Unless you have compared the weight, I would not assume they weigh more.

btw -- 3mm is less than 1/8 inch.

the difference will be so small that its probably negligable, take your watch off and youll probably save more weight.

i dont wear a watch,

i dont wear a watch,

well there ya go

aluminum is 1 lb per cubic inch, 3mm all the way down the fork is 7.875 sq inches. how thick is the wall on the fork?

aluminum is more like .098 lbs per cubic inch..

calculating 46mm OD and a 3mm wall aluminum tube @ 24" lng = 1.476 lbs

calculating 43mm OD and a 3mm wall aluminum tube @ 24" lng = 1.377 lbs

i don't know the average wall thickness or actual length, just picked reasonable numbers for a comparison...

i will guess that the added weight is less that 1/4 pound..

(concidering that the internial parts may also slightly increase in weight)
