Interesting Observation

Tore the bike back down again after the first ride and hearing a funny noise toward the end of the ride. Found out I didn't install the exhaust side cam chain guide right. :bonk:

Along the way I found this:

There is not one spec of carbon on the exhaust valves. I'm certainly not worried, just found it interesting. Anybody have an explanation? :bonk:

Normally it's the other way around! Exhaust valves are normally coated with carbon and the intake is clean.

Thats what I thought. Kind of weird.

That's normal for a very low hour tear down. The IN valves are cold in comparison so the carbon sticks... EX not so much so it hasn't had time to stick.

Ahh that makes sense.
