XR600R oil capacity and valve clearances?

Anyone able to tell me what the capacity of engine/transmission oil is on an early 90's XR600R after oil drain and filter change?

And, what the intake and exhaust valve clearances should be when the engine is cold?

Oil capacity is 2 quarts draining, 2.4 after rebuild.

Don't put the full volume in right away. Put in about 1.5 liters and then run it for a few minutes. Be sure to hold the bike straight up and down so the engine sump ends up with the correct amount. Then kill the engine and top off to the full like on the dipstick.

If you try to put in the full amount in right away, the frame oil tank can fill up and you get a big mess. Guess how I know.

That capacity for an oil change is just under 2 liters at 1.9 or so. Depending on how you check it you may or may not be able to use the whole 2 liters.

If you want to put it all in at once like me, (impatient) unscrew a valve adjuster cover and dump the rest in there. Once it starts the scavenge pump will go to work and all will be good again with no overflow mess. Don't ask me either how I know about that.
