Well given the intimate insight into you're riding style, abilities and you're intended use of the machine I would say that you should toss a coin.

Well since u have 610 in your title and 630 in your post ill just assume you mean either.

Id get a 610 for street use, a 510 will be lighter and more agile but the 610 will have less worries.

The problem is that the new 630 weighs as much as a small moon!!

I have a 510SMR and my mate has a 08' 610, the 610 is probably better for longer distances, but the 510 wipes the floor with it in every other aspect:thumbsup:

for street only - SM630 for sure. It is a reliable, fast, comfy bike. Ideal for every day riding.

for street and track - take SM510. it is lighter, faster stearing and faster revving.

510 is definatly much more of a track bike, its close ratios make it much more racy but that also means engine buzzing more at highway speeds, 610 much better for flogging miles

610 now or wait for the 630. I would not like the buzzy, close ratio transmission on the smaller bikes unless I was doing allot of track days too. I could throw my 610 17 wheels on my 450 to do track days if I was really motivated. I love the SM610 on the street though.
