How did the Tusk Clutch Holding Tool work for you?

Recommended Posts

Hey tt, I heard in some cases that it did not fit correctly, for those who have this specific tusk tool, how did it work on your CRs?

I had to use it on the cr125 (2003) and had to modify the pins that do the holding with the dremel. I ended up having to grind them down to fit the holes. So it seems like, from the previous poster, 250's are good to go, but 125's may need to modify to work.

I never used it as a flywheel holder yet. But for the clutch it was a tight perfect fit into the grooves.

When using the tool you have to play around a bit to see what groves on the hub it will fit into best being the ends are angled slightly. So it doesn't just go on the hub halfway. Kind of hard to explain, but you must makes some small adj. to see that position it will fit on best.

Things go so much smoother when you have the right tools for the job =)
