Rear Caliper Cover

I need to get a new Rear Caliper Cover/Guard for my 2003 XR400. I was looking online at one made by MSR but the site says it will fit a 1996 to 2001. Anybody know if this will fit my 2003? I didn't think there was a difference between 2001 and 2003.

I don't believe there's any difference. Should fit fine.

When I see fitting guides like that that only go to a certain year, when I know there hasn't been any changes in the year models afterward, I chalk it up to the fact that the part most likely, in your case, came to market before the 2002 model year.

If you look up the Honda part numbers for both years you will find that they are the same per Honda. I agree that they probably didn't upgrade their catalog, they were most likely busy making parts for all the new 450s that were coming out around that time.
