Forest Service mechanical engineer position

Recommended Posts

Want to pass this on to the ME's out there. We have an opening for a GS-11/12 mechanical engineer at the Forest Service San Dimas Technology and Development Center (San Dimas, CA).

http://www.fs.fed.us/eng/techdev/

One of the primary duties of this position is to manage the Forest Service spark arrestor qualification program. Other duties include project work of national significance for the Fire and Aviation Program.

For those that love engineering and the outdoors, and would enjoy testing spark arrestors of all types (motorcycles, ATVs, chainsaws, string trimmers, locamotives, etc), this is a unique opportunity.

There are two advertisements, it's VERY important to apply to the correct vacancy. The first one is for current federal employees, and the second one is for the general public.

Govt-wide (fed employees):

Demo (general public):

Please pass this info on to anyone that might be interested. Feel free to PM me with questions. Thanks, Dave
