Edelbrock 42mm XR650R

I have seen a new Edelbrock pumper carb that is 42mm, not the standard (I think) 40mm for a XR650R. Have the Edelbrock's always been 42mm or are they trying something new? Will 42mm increase the top end performance at the expence of some bottom or mid-range power on a motor like this?
