swapping 06 yz125 yz250 swingarm

Recommended Posts

The 2006 YZ125 and 250 share the identical swingarm (P/N 1C3-22110-50-00) and rear hub (P/N 5ET-25311-00-00).

Therefore they can be swapped, and the weight saved would, of course, be zero.

The only weight you would save is by having a narrower rim (250 is 2.15, 125 is 1.85)

Since the original question has been answered, why are the part numbers for the swing arm different for 05 to 06, is this because of the swing arm pivot bolt size?

The 06 swingarm was different...new design.

I thought I saw an article where somebody used a YZ250F swingarm on the YZ250, and maybe the wheel too , for weight savings. They were preparing for 2 stroke nationals.
