fuell dilivery question

Recommended Posts

I've got a brand new SSR 140 TX that has a brand new carb and jets on it. For some reason it doesn't want to run right. so after doing a little looking around on the bike i found that there is a bunch of black plasctic like material all in the fuel lines and tank which is probably why the bike wont run right. does anyone know what this could be and any way i can clean the tank out? is there something out there that i can clean the tank out with? i will put new fuel like and fuel filter on it. thanks for the help.

I use isoprpyl alcohol to RINSE my tank and lines. Don't leave any solvents in your system for long. But you can rinse with iso alcohol all day, let it dry and retry. -BIG DAN:thumbsup:

Its probably bits of plastic from manufacturing process. I took mine tank off and blew it out with compressed air. You might have to clean or blow out your jets also.
