´02 CR 125 fork dust seals

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I bought a new set of oil and dust seals (MCI-FSD049 type) for my CR 125 fork. But dust seals are odd, they are without steel retaining ring on outer lip (which touches to sliding tube). There are no groove for ring at all, and seal shape is a bit conical on lower side. Is this normal in some dust seals and are they good enough to keep dirt away from oil seals? Fast answer would be nice, my bike is in garage waiting for a new seals and hard ride!

your bike has a 46mm Kayaba fork. parts are very easy to get for this common fork and aren't expensive either.

The dust seals, as mog already daid, look like old style ones or eg those from All Balls.

You can use them though, if you want, although i personally prefer the standard ones.
