I am doing a little cleanup work on an 01 426 I just bought and found that the clutch cable was adjusted all the way out on both ends. I bought a replacement cable and found it to be the same. The prev owner had put an ASV lever on it and I believe this is the source of the problem. The perch/lever marriage is pretty sloppy. Did the ASVs require a specific perch or barrel adjuster. Could a worn clutch (it does not slip) lead to this? This model does not have any mid adjuster.
