Help me on this one guys

Now, ive got the itch to spend some $$$ on my bike but i dont know what to add. i would like to hear some suggestions from you guys. here are some pics of my bike. (sorry about the quality they were shot with my phone )

What has been done to the susp?

If it's stock put your money there.

If not when was it last serviced?

Hint suspension if it's old.

I'd rip it down and inspect all mechanical items and replace if worn.

Tires!!

What about spokes? How many hours how oftn do you check them? More often then not they are neglected and abused.

If all is good. Maybe 22mm tripple clamps. Functional

did I mention tires?

Humm re pack your exhaust with 100 dollar bills?

Asv lever sets.

If you don't have a neck brace mayb that.

spend it on maintenance stuff!

tires, tubes, bearings, oils, airfilters, oil filters, etc...!!!!

dial the thing in!

id rather have a dialed/good running bike than a fancy one!

both of the front forks are new. the bike is an 08 and i put 09 forks on it.

i just finished stressing the same subject on a dif thread

when u are riding, get an in-depth feel of the bike.

from there, pinpoint exactly what u think is wrong with it...

whether it be gearing, suspension, powerband, etc...

just try and notice things that u dont like or would like to be different.

when u come up with something(s), let us know and we'll give u tips on how to fix it. :ride:

well i am having trouble turning in low speeds... in the higher speeds it seems to perform well but when i have to make a slow turn or when im exiting a turn and start to accelerate i just cant get the thing to go where i want....

any ideas?

Well slow speed is inherntly harder.

The kxs push or want to stand in tighter corners.

I'm running a 22mm clamp set. It helps with that.

This is another thing having suspension setup for you helps.

It will help settle the bike down in corners.

How ever proper technique is the biggest issue also. If you're sitting back on the bike with no weight on the front end it will not plant and turn.

Move up to where your ballz are on the gas cap.

Another thing is tire selection. Tire that looks fine may still be worn. A wrong type of tire may not work either.

drop the front forks a little bit too. push em up higher into the clamps.

like primal said, 22mm offset clamps are great! my friend runs them and they are a night and day dif in corner controls compared to my stock offset.

get ur nuts on the gas tank, and hold the throttle all the way through the corner.
