perfect 80 MX'er Play bike

so ill be buying a yz or cr 80 this weekend as a play bike.

all i want is a play bike though, the 96 and newer bikes SOUND a little to powerful though! i want it to be small and flickable like a pitbike but with that 2 stroke powa!

what would be a good year to get?

ive seen 2000+ BIG 80s (not bigwheel) and ive seen small 80s.

so what year and model would be the best for effin around on in the trails?

ive never ridden a 80 mxer so i dont know how powerful they are, simply put, are they toys or are they race bikes?

The kx and rm have adjustable power valves, but they are all good.

but there HUUUGE! what happened to the little 1980s 80s that look like pitbikes? i saw some newer hondas and there damn near the same size as a 125!

My sons 99 Cr 80 has a seat height about as high as a mountain bike. The earlier 80's were alot smaller. I was compairing the 99 Cr he got to an 88 YZ and the YZ seat height was about 3-4" lower. Maybe you should look for a 60 if you want small pitbike. The older YZ and CR 60s are awesome!

yz60 cr60 or kx60 or BW 80

14/17 80s are sketchy with an adult on them, i would go 12/14 or 16/19

what about your gt80? or is that a garage queen?

my dad was riding my crf and i was riding the gt 80 in these tight trails around camp...i SMOKED him! it was hillarious!

the gt80 is fun, but doesnt have much power at all.
