graphics on new plastics

is there any need to do any special plastic cleaning prior to installing new graphics on new plastics?

I just installed a full graphics package on my new plastics yesterday with no additional cleaning and it turned out great....!!

just put soapy water on the plastics. then wipe it off. then put soapy water back on it and stick then squeegie out water. did it today

I clean them thoroughly with hot soapy water, and then rubbing alcohol. Even though they look clean, new plastic often have oil residue on them from the molding process.

I always use 200 grit sand paper where the graphics go, to give the glue a good bonding surface. After I scratch up the area I clean it with alcohol. I would never think about putting graphics on smooth uncleaned plastic, just my preference.
