Bike wont start pw 50

Recommended Posts

I jjust replaced the throttle cable. It started for about 2 seconds then died. I think something might be up with the carb. Any advice. Thanks

Double check all the fittings to make sure you don't have any air leaks first.

Next, I'd check for kinks in the fuel line.

Finally, look for the more difficult to resolve problems:

Did you clean the carb when you replaced the slide? If not, I would.

Do you have gas in the bowl? No? find out why.

I now have the bike running, but as soon as I flip the switch from start to run it acts as if there is no throttle. It revs up full blast. The slide in the carb. is not going all the way down. I can't figure out why. Any suggestions.

it seems like the cable from the carb to the split point is to short for the slide to drop down in the carb

^ we have had good experiences with peeweecycles.com

sounds like the slide is in 180 degrees backwards.

also make sure the carb cap is seated and screwed all the way down.
