2002 CR 250R TT 38mm airstriker

Recommended Posts

My bike runs alright with the stock carb, but not as crisp as I want it to so I bought the TT 38mm airstriker with the jd jet kit.

I am in central TX (around 800 ft asl, anywhere from 50 to 100 degrees, and humid weather)

My bike has the following

Vforce reeds

FMF Fatty

Pro Circuit silencer

Wiseco Stock bore (fresh top end 2 hours on it)

Twin Air foam filter (no mods done to air box)

Stock Squish

The research that I have done is this, I am just not sure on what needle. I run EMN needle in my DRZ fcr which is real similar to JD's blue needle, I am not sure if that helps at all with this.

172 main

45 pilot

needle 3rd clip (blue I am guessing)

1.5 turns on airscrew

Does that sound about right? Thanks for the help.

Alright, I got the carb today. It didn't come with any instructions, it just said that it has been pre set for me at the following

172 main

45 pilot

AS 1.5 turns

blue needle 2nd clip

Do I need to set the float height same as stock, or should I just leave it alone. I measured and it looks to be set at 17mm right now. Should I run the blue needle 2nd clip?

Also when I am at the dunes, should I run it a bit richer with a 175 main?

Thanks for the help.
