Oil Leak

Recommended Posts

Looks like it is coming from behind the front sprocket. I believe they are O Rings behind it that need to be replaced. How are is this to do? A job I could do myself or do I need to send it to the shop?

Thanks

I've done it on my kids KX65 and it was a piece of cake...nothing to it all. Can't make any promise on the 450, but it was pretty simple on the 65

O'ring on the tran shaft and the seal can be removed from the outside.

You may want to take a good look at the bearing when you get the seal out

to see if everything look ok. (bearing race and bearing seal)

After removing the sprocket you need to take out the circlip , and then remove the seal . Putting the circlip back is the hardest part .
