Nuetech Tubliss system, How low can you go???

Recommended Posts

Looking for those that used the Tubliss system.

I'm considering giving it a try but want to know how low in pressure you can run without problems?

I usually run 8-9 psi in muddy races.

Will the Tubliss run this low reliably?

I have run 7/8 psi in the front for the last year on rocky singletrack without a single flat. I did get a flat in the rear with 8 psi in a IRC trials tire. That tire is too thin and fragile for the Tubliss system.

You can run it even lower than 7-8 psi, just keep the internal tube at 110 psi and you'll be fine.

I found with a 90/90x21 Michelin M-12 that at 4psi the tire got noisy at 30mph on fire roads and felt a little squirrely. Bumping the pressure to 6psi stopped the noise and improved the feel, but it still felt good offroad. I have Dunlop 803 Trials on the rear but I've not gone below 6psi, usually run 7-8psi.
