decompressopr problem

Recommended Posts

I have TE450 2004. I have a problem with manual decomp. leaver. When I pull it, it does not retur to normal position.I have to return it in normal position by hand. The problem is not in sticking cable, but it lies in the engine side.

Problems accured after engine rebuild - the guy must have assembled something wrong.

Do I have to worry about this problem since I do not use manual decomp - no neeed to use it. Other than that the engine runs great.

Remove the top cover, there is a pin that is retained by the top cover in its RF corner and the pin is not always tight in the casting so I will bet that when the head was upside down with the top cover off the pin moved down (up when inverted) and the compression release arm slid out, then when the top cover got bolted down it was pushing on the pin (been there done that)
