kx65 pilot screw

Recommended Posts

hey everyone just wondering what the standard air pilot screw position is for a 2000 kx65 i was trying to get it to idle properly because the guy who had it before me said it wouldnt and said he tryed playing with the screws...so i fiddled with the idle screw and fixed it in about 5 seconds but just wana make sure its not to lean or something since im just holding it for a friend... any help would be apreciated, its the screw right next to the intake on the intake side of the carb at the top im pretty sure... just a little flat head screw... thanks heaps

Well theres two screws on a carb usually, one is the air mixture screw, the other is the idle screw. You can tell which ones the idle just by turning it and hearing the difference, that screw doesnt do anything to the mixture, it just raises the slide up and down. When you turn the other screw, it shouldnt really make a big difference in RPM, thats the air mixture screw, check which one your turning.
