2001 WR 250F Leaking Fuel

Recommended Posts

My wr is leaking fuel from the carburetor float bowl drain.

1) I know I have a fuel tank valve leak. Parts are on order.

2) Is this likely to be the needle valve leaking in the float bowl? If so, can I just replace the needle valve set?

3) If replacing the needle valve are there other things to consider replacing at the same time?

either bad needle valve and seat, piece if lint stuck in the needle or a cracked float. I cant remember if that year has a replaceable seat if it does replace it with the needle.

Your float height may also need adjusted.

If it is not debris in the float needle seat, it is the oring between the seat and the carb body.

Great point. I forgot about our friendly oring.
