California Competitive Edge Bike Setup?

Recommended Posts

We are heading to Competitive Edge next weekend for the Loretta Qualifier and need some insight on bike setup for our CRF250R. What gearing and tires are best suited for the track and what is the soil type there? How is their camping setup? Your insight is greatly appreciated.

Stock gearing and firm to sandy soil.Wet in the morning and hard pack for the second moto.Concrete start pad and expect rain.756 tires or the new MX51 tires work well with around 11 to 12 psi. They have camping the night before.Call Kristen(sp?).......really good people out there that are running the track.Best of luck to you.

Added note:Might be windy as well.Uphill start so HP is important for the start. We run VP 4.2 straight, not mixed with good results.Doesn't get as rough as Glen Helen but close.Good luck.We might run it in the 250 B Mod.:ride:
