Does anyone use Lucas Oil premix?

Recommended Posts

I see that Lucas Oil has a semi-synthetic premix product, but I can't find out much about it. Is anyone here using it? Comments?

I picked some up to try last weekend and ran it in my sons YZ and my wifes KX, both noticeably had less smoke (i mix 40:1 and previously used yamalube). Seemed to do its job. i think it was $5.99 @ O'Reilly auto.

I also made the switch last year. I haven't taken the top end apart on my bike to check powervalves, etc., but I know Lucas makes good products and from the research I did a the time, everyone seemed happy with it.

At $24 / gallon shipped to your door - it's hard to beat.

I use it in an RM250 and it's proven to work well. It's relatively thin, to be injector compatible, so I'd recommend running it at 32:1 max. I get it at O'reilly or Autozone for $7.99 a quart.
