Pilot Jet part number change?

Recommended Posts

Just curious if anyone else has run into this.

I got my power up parts from my Honda dealer, and like an idiot, didn't check the part numbers against what I ordered. Got home and put in the Needle and Main Jet... and then noticed that the Pilot (Honda calls it the Slow Jet) was a different number than what I ordered.

I ordered part# 99103-MT2-0450, and what came in was 99103-KPS-0450. I took the part back to the dealer, and the guy said that the MT2 listing has been superseded by the KPS. He showed it to me on the computer.

Here's a pic of the new part:

So... me being a complete noob with doing this mod... doing any kind of carb work... I wanted to check if I'm good to go with this before I try to install it in my '05 CRF230F.

Anybody else experience this?

Thanks.

BTW: Here's my complete parts list:

Needle: 16012-KPS-921

Main: 99113-GHB-1320

Pilot: 99103-MT2-0450 (now 99103-KPS-0450??)

The 99103-MT2-0450 has been replaced by the 99103-KPS-0450.

HERE is the parts breakdown for the carb. If you scroll down the parts list to part 31. JET (#45) you will see the note about there being a new number.
