yz 250 expansion chamber?

Noticed a nice looking stock expansion chamber on ebay that I was interested in. The seller states that it fits 99'-2006 years. If that is the case should that also fit an 07' or later model yz250's? I ask the seller and said he got his info. from yamaha and doesn't know what year bike the pipe came off of. I was under the impression they were the same from 99' on up. Is this the case or am I mistaken?

They're close enough to fit, but have different designs.. Pretty sure the consensus here in TT land has been that the 06+ pipes are the better ones to use.. Hope that helps

I wish the seller new what year bike it was for. He said it had been sitting in storage for awhile. It looks almost new. Not sure if I want to jump on it or not. I'm thinking any stocker should be better than the SST I got now.

i don't if it will fit but i know for sure they changed it on '05 when the alum. frame came out.

Apparently pipes from 99 to 2010 will all fit

Typically the 04 and earlier pipes need a spacer to get past the larger downtubes found on the 05+ bikes.
