Powervalve loctite?

Recommended Posts

Just had the right side engine case off to replace the gasket that started leaking, and had to take that 6mm bolt for the powervalve off and back on. All went pain free, and when I put it back together I didnt loctite that bolt as it didnt have any on it when I took apart. Is that something for blue loctite, should I reopen it to be safe?

Thanks in advance.

I have never needed too, and KTM doesn't have a specifit torque or say use the blue lt. I however use a battery impact to make sure its tight. Honestly you should be alright, but if you have the stuff probably wouldn't hurt, always wondered the same thing. The other place i wondered about it was the needle positioning cover behind the pipe? never locktite either, but always worry about them comming loose

The bolt that would be where that arrow is pointing. I took it apart today and put a little dab of loctite on it, better safe then sorry. Thanks!
