08 Jetting CRF 450r

Recommended Posts

I have a 08 450r that has a 172 main with the needle clip all they way to the top. I pull the plug and it is black, so I had a 155 main that I put left the needle where it was (top, so the needle is all the way down), and it is still rich. Do I need to change the needle? I would think that the 155 would be very lean. Also the fuel screw doesn't seem to do anything. Any help?

How does it run??

Are you just rejetting because of the black plug or does it have a running problem??

Does it start up and idle ok?? What size pilot jet is in it??

found it, thanks. It was the spring that sets on top of the needle (in between the screw and the clip). It was put under the clip so the needle couldn't drop all the way down. The bike ran ok just seem to load up at idle, and you could smell that it was rich. I have only had the bike of a month or two so just trying to get the thing running good
