Rejet or adjust

Recommended Posts

I just installed a DR.D full exhaust on my 07 CRF250R. The bike was winterized in Oct. so it has not run since then. After I installed the exhaust and checked everything, put fresh fuel in, pulled the choke and kicked it twice and it fired right up. The problem is, after it ran only maybe 2 minutes the header pipe was pretty red. Do I need to rejet or just adjust the air fuel screw? Or may there be a problem somewhere else? I had the seat off cause I installed a fresh clean oiled filter and the bike almost sounded like it was coughing through the carb. Like a chirp intermittently. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks William! Thought maybe I effed something up. The header pipe material is quite thinner than stock.
