First day of MX on my RM250! Loads of pictures!

Recommended Posts

We hired a MX track near Reading in England to practice MX yesterday. It was my first MX ride on my RM250 which is my first 2 stroke mx/enduro bike, I have always had 450 4 stokes before and ride "woods" or enduro 99% of the time so it was great to give the bike a good blast round the muddy mx track. My RM250 performed perfectly all day, I got around 4 hours riding in and I ache all over today but had a excellent time so it was well worth it!

What are your impressions of the bike after being used to the 450,i,ll be in the same boat as soon as the snow melts.i,ve had two strokes before but never an rm,04in my case,so i can,t wait to try it.

The pics were great!,is that track on somebody,s farm/ private?

The yamaha 450's had more torque so they are a bit easier to ride fast but with around 25% more weight they wore me out much quicker so overall I think i could ride faster for longer on my RM250 because it is so light. My rm250 has been modified to increase torque and to make it better for enduro, my 450's were modified with similar parts (exhaust, jetting, gearing) for the same reason. In england nearly all the best riders ride 2 stroke in enduros.

The track is on a farm, most tracks in england are built on farm land and run by the farmers or they rent their land out to clubs. It only costs £20 ($30) to ride all day! Its pretty cool but is 2 hours away from home.
