temp control

Recommended Posts

My son is attendding a flat track school weekend after this.I exspect he will get 4 or 5 hours of ride time.I'm worried a bit about keeping the motor cool enough.About all I can come up with is changing the oil a couple of times.Any other ideas that might help?I have a nice fan to blow on it but not sure how long I'll have to cool it down. Our races are sprints usually not over 12 laps on 1/4 mile,8 on 1/2 but this school is going to tax it!

Thanks Bob

U should be fine man!! I raced mine for 2hrs straight after doing a bunch of sprint races before ( a good 10hr day ) and had no problems!

The only thing that I found out was that the motors power will start to fade when it gets real hot, but I would just turn a few easy laps and it would bring the temp down a bit. My digi temp guage would read in the 230's during hot days racing sprints, a fan cooled it down between races and it cools down fast!

Good luck
