'81 xl250s- where exactly do I drill for the external filter?

Doing my 1st minor rebuild on my 81 xl250s. (heads / valves). While I'm waiting on parts, I thought I might tackle the remote oil cooler / filter idea.

Researched the archives on the subject, but I don't find any pics of the modification on an actual bike.

So here are a couple pics of my right side case. I numbered different ports, both on the inside and outside of the case.

Hopefully someone who has actually done this mod, can direct me where exactly to drill, tap, what size fittings needed.... and MOST importantly tell me which direction the oil is flowing, (which port is an exit and which is the return back to the case)

The two ports in the pic' are to crank and topend, you would need to interupt before both of them. the slot below them is part of tthe circuit and somewhere near where you would need to interupt it.

Lot of extras on a bike that has lasted a long time without them.
