Im about to rebuild the top end of my bike with trx 450 intakes and have a few questions...

Here's the numbers for the complete conversion on the intake side:

Valve, In ~ 14711-HP1-670 2 each $ 20.19 = $ 40.38

Valve spring, In ~ 14751-MEB-670 2 each $ 6.57 = $ 13.14

Valve Stem Seal ~ 12209-KL4-005 2 each $ 4.82 = $ 9.64

Cotters, Int ~ 14781-MEB-670 4 each $ 2.87 = $ 11.48

Retainer, In ~ 14771-HP1-670 2 each $ 4.69 = $ 9.38

I found this parts list in a another thread and was wondering if you have to order all of this to complete the build or can you get by with just the springs and valves and reuse the stock stuff thats already in the motor?

I don't reuse valve train parts but some people do. Not worth it IMHO. I would also do all new OEM exhausts, springs, guides, keepers, and seals too.

Well if your going to be in there and its only a few bucks more for the small parts, just replace them. Better to be safe then have an old part fail. I have not done any of this yet, but I do not plan to reuse any old parts when the point is to rebuild/restore.
