Going to St. Louis Supercross race

Recommended Posts

First time to make it to a supercross race!!! I do have a question...

What time do they generally end? The practice qualification starts at 1230pm. I only ask, because if it is late then I will get a hotel. It is only 2 hours and 45 minutes from where I live. Maybe I'll just stick out the drive if it is late?

I'm already setting up my camera for a lot of pictures!!!!

They have a schedule they follow, and they stuck to it pretty good for Indy. 10:45 I think it was over? We got there around 3:00 or so, and I think it was a pretty good arrival time. 11 hours might be a bit much, but it was definitely cool to wander around before taking our seats for the big show at 7:00. There's a traffic jam leaving; we hustled out as soon as it was over to beat most of the people out. We had a hotel, but also an 11 hour drive the next day so the earlier the better.

Heck yea man! I'm going too, it was a blast last year! Laser show, fireworks, rider intros, some freestyle, and of course some sweet racing, last year they had the tunnel set up in front of us were stewart went down.

If i remember right they end about 10, open at noon, got an empty monster energy car? recycle it at the pit entrance and get in the pits for free.

Its about a 3 hour drive for us too, but its one of the best events throughout the year, you'll love it. Not the greatest parking around, a lot of peeps park on the on ramps, and its packed and horrible traffic leaving after. It makes for a long night after leaving late, getting stuck in traffic forever and then the drive home, its do able but stinks. Hope that answered your questions some

Anaheim 3 ended around 10:30 ish as well. They seem to have their timing down quite well. You'll have a good time..

I would say save up some money and get a hotel. Its only once a year, so why not have fun? If you do decide to get a hotel, I would recommend getting one on the Illinois side because they are cheaper and less crowded.

Sure, get one in East St. Louis. They will be reasonably priced there.

We always park at the casino in East St. Louis and take the metro-link to the stadium. Saves a lot of time when the race is over.

We always go and its usually over around 10:30. If you are that close I'd just drive it. Don't park right next to the stadium park a couple blocks over and its a lot easier to get out. Be sure and hoof it back to the car too. I wouldn't get there that early either wait until about 2:00 or so.

I like watching the qualifiers from about 3-5, then head over to TGI- Fridays for some dinner. Back in the seat by 6:30 and watch some good racing. Drive back to a hotel in Creve Coure for the night.
