'99 250: Idle Adjusting Knob Not Working

Recommended Posts

On '99s the idle and choke knobs are the same. To adjust the idle you just turn the top of the knob. Well, the darn thing just spins and spins and the idle doesn't move. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there an easy fix?

Thanks

Turning the choke on the 99' CR 250m doesn't adjust anything, that was on the 98' and older models. Your carb has an idle adjusting screw. Its the upper one on the left side. Heres a llink http://beaverdamhondakawasaki.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=138699&category=MOTORCYCLES&make=HONDA&year=1999&fveh=3270

Item #8 = idle screw or (throttle valve stop screw) made of plastic.

Item # 6 = air screw or (pilot screw) made of brass.
