I have my eye on that very same kit. Do you think Coeshow could do something similar?

I just had my '04 150 engine built into a 223cc engine by Mike. UPS will be dropping it off to me on Friday. He's been great about answering any and all questions that I've emailed him with a thorough response. I couldn't be more pleased with how things have gone.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost you?

i was wondering about how the simular displacement engines compare also.

say a eo 225 vs a stock bore 230,

or a coeshow 150 upgraded to a 252 vs a 230 upgraded to a 251?

anyone have an opinion?

which head has more "potential" 150 or 230?

I just like the fact that coeshows 150 to 230 build uses all Honda parts. I've been able to ride around for a couple hours now and the difference is amazing. Best investment I've made for my 150.

Similar but different, I'll try to explain.

The CRF150 to 223 or 251 is the kick start 150's

EO 150 to 225 is new gen e-start/5speed CRF

The CRF230 to 251 of course is all 230 models.

Differences: the kicker 150 to 251cc will give same performance as a 230 to 251 except the 150/251 is a 5spd/kicker motor with updated kicker gears, whereas the 230/251 motor is a e-start/6 speed motor. Both will require a carb kit (96-04 XR250R take off)

If you have a 2nd gen (e-start) 150 the EO 225 is the only kit.

I have three 150's with the 225 kit. Makes great torque, I just traded one for a stocker that I put in a bike and is for sale. I'm keeping one bike and the other kit is on Ebay right now. I'm keeping an 05' 175cc kicker as my dirt track bike and an 06' 225cc for a woods bike. I'll be racing the 05' this weekend, can't wait. They're both a riot to ride, they just make vastly different power.
