black cottage cheese

Recommended Posts

i just got a 99' yz250 a week and a half ago, runs its balls off just fine, my concern is that after i parked it back in my garage, the next day i noticed this quarter sized black cottage cheese looking substance under a hose that comes off of the left hand side of the engine. this is my first 2 stroke i've owned so i am clueless as to wether this is a vent tube or what. here is a pic of the port in which it is dripping out of. its not a big pile but enough for me to be curious.

Looks like a drain for the powervalve. Since its a premix bike sludge builds up on the powervalve and has to go somewhere. Its the same spooge thats dripping out of the end of the exhaust, just more cooked. At least thats what I think it is.
