valve help

im rebuilding my bike right now putting in a new piston, cam chain, and valves. should i bring my head into the a dealer and have them put in the valves themselves or can i do it myself? Thanks

You should really take the head in and have them at the least cut (resurface) the seats. They take alot of abuse and need to mate with the valve correctly. At the same time you could have the tech check the guides, seals, cam bearings ect. I dont know the type of valves that you are putting in but depending your talent level and knowing from experience, with a small rpm loss the stainless steal valves really give the bike a longevity gain....good luck
