Adjusting brake lever on 96 kx250?

Recommended Posts

Just replaced my brake lever, and now i have to pull further on my brake to get it to go good. it engages later, and i need it to engage a LOT sooner, because right now i have to pull it to the bars to be a full pull, and i defanietly can't have that, because i only use one finger on the brake..

little help on how to adjust?

thanks

Turn the adjuster until you get it where you want it. Just make sure there is some free play between the screw and piston or the brake will drag or lock up when it gets hot.

Also make sure they are bled properly. Don't mistake too much travel due to air for bad adjustment.

Loosen the lock nut on the adjuster screw, adjust the screw to desired amount, tighten the lock nut.
