cam chain tool ktm 520

When im installing the ktm master link on the cam chain will a c clamp and a very small socket work?

and also do i need needs to swedge the ends so they look like all the other links at the end?

Yes you need to swedge the posts so they look the same as the others.A c-clamp and a small socket is a good idea,give it a try,but i doubt it is strong enough.A cam chain tool is very strong(thick material)creates alot of force,i don"t think you will get that from a c-clamp.

ok so is there away to swedge the posts without the riveting tool?

Not properly,and it"s not something you want to come apart:banghead:.You could try taking it to a bike shop and see if they will swedge it for you...should take about 5 minutes.
