Dropped in creek

Recommended Posts

Tipped in creek on right side. Took about 40 secs to get upright. Caused slight crack in clutch housing, taped it up. Would not start, checked cleaned spark plug, has been runnig rich. Got started but will not run at slow revs. Runs at speed but pops when throttle off. On trip so off to a garage this morn. Will get cover welded nd oil n spark change. Ideas on carb? Friend thinks poss bent valve? Suggestions?

Carb probably sucked some water through it's vent while under water. Has happened to me several times! You can try draining carb and also the tank if you suspect water in there. When finished add a small amount of gas line antifreeze to tank to get rid of residual water. Also good idea to change the engine oil when you repair the clutch cover.
