Really depends on how its ridden and maintained. I'm a B level racer, meticulous maintenance with over 500hrs of experience on my 450x. I change pistons based on compression loss (20%) which has averaged out to around 60-70hrs. I let the first topend go to 250hrs. Should have done it at 180-200hrs. I had to remove quite a bit of material to get a good valve seat.
