Valve clearances on 1800 mile engine

Recommended Posts

I checked my valve clearances before firing up my new engine, apparently it has 1800 miles on it, and everything you can possibly use as an indication to that would kind of tie up.

However the valve clearances were as follows:

Exhaust 1 and 2: 0.18mm (out of tolerance)

Intake 1: 0.15mm (bang in tolerance)

Intake 2: 0.10mm (on edge of tolerance).

Would you be worried about adjusting these out at this point? Could the fact the engine was stored for 2 years have any bearing on this? or its relatively low mileage?
