Please help me identify this part!!!

This spring came out of my crank case before I split the two halves. Im ready to put the case together, but cannot figure out where this goes. I have looked at all the diagrams. Please please help me out on this.

It could be spring 1 or spring 2, I don't the names or the functions of the springs, but those are 2 likely candidates

I am guessing spring 2. in the Clutch cover.

could it be the spring for the clutch finger (the thing on which the clutch cable goes in)

btw, the spring seems screwed up !

Looks like the spring that goes on the clutch shaft on the right side cover. Looks damaged as well.

I believe that is what it is. The other springs mention are accounted for.
