does this jetting sound correct?

Recommended Posts

I've got a stock 2007 s model that I finally re-jetted to try and get rid of the hanging idle and slight bog,and possibly get a little more power.

I installed the JD kit to their specs.

#155 main

#25 pilot

blue needle on the 3rd groove

Keintech fuel screw 2 1/2 turns out

The down side is it's snowing again, so no test ride.

My question is, with the keintech fuel screw is the #25 pilot correct or should I use the stock #22.5?

All my ridding is in the 3500-4500 ft range and not really warm, so I'm not 100% on the needle color or position.

Blue needle for 0-4000ft cool and Red needle for 4000ft and up in the heat?

Any info would be great thanx.

At your elevation, I'm thinking you want the red needle, clip 4, and probably a smaller main jet, especially with the stock or a corked up aftermarket exhaust, something like a 150. As far as the pilot goes, I went with the factory 22.5 with the Keintech screw but I'm closer to sea level.

With Keintech screw 22.5 pilot, 2.75 turns out. Use the factory screw with 25 pilot.

155 main is a little rich that high, probably 150 main like ptgarcia said.

Thanks guys I'll give it a shot. Hopefully I can get a ride in later this week to see if it does the trick.
