Recommended Posts

im about to buy an '08 te 510. Is there a supermoto wheelset that can simply be swapped in without changing the brake? thanks for any info.

Buy yourself a set of wheels off of any of the later model Husky SM bikes 450/510 or 610 and buy a new 260mm dirt front rotor. You'll have to drill the holes out on the new 260mm rotor since the rotor bolts on the SM hubs are 6mm and the rotor bolts on the dirt wheels are 5mm I think. Besides that, you should be good to go.

Think about gearing though since the 17" wheels will have to turn more RPM's to go 60mph than your dirt wheels so you'll want to gear it up a little. Do a google search for a gearing calculator to figure out what sprocket combo will get you the gearing you want and will work with the same chain you use for your dirt wheels.

Just got an 09 Te510 and am considering getting a set of wheels off of a 06 huskey sumo>Does anyone know if they will fit the 09?I also am wondering if the same procedure will work for the 09 that is being discussed for the above 08 concerning the brakes.Would you have to get boht front and rear rotors? thanks
