Crank bearings question

Recommended Posts

I have my case open right now to fix so0me transmission problems...

So I am wondering if I spent the $60 and change the crank/ main bearings at the same time, coz the case is already split.

The ones in there seem to turn really smooth, etc. and I changed them 30-40 hours ago (incl. the crank).

thx

You're in there, probably better do it.. Kinda like top rod bearings?? They're usually in good shape at top end time, but you're in there.. Might as well, right?? Im in my cases too.. Im gonna do crank bearings and seals..

having the same thoughts, and def. changing the seals...

I am wondering if there is a rule like: change main bearings together with lower rod bearing, coz lower rod bearing goes bad first.... or something like that.....
