Recommended Posts

We have a 2003 200 exc that i need to replace the clutch plates and don't really know if I should just replace the fiber plates or just replace all of them while we are at it ?

Oem - Moose or DP - Which should I go with ?

I think RMATV tusk clutch is the best deal for the clutch fibers and steel (not AL) under 50.00 Check here at TT for the piston and gaskets or your local shop.

I use steel plates on replacement

I use Munns mail order

Mike

When you say you use steel plates on replacement are you saying you use steel in replacement of the alum. plates so you use all steel and no alum. ?? OR ?

Can you elaborate please ?

Why do you go all steel if that is what you are saying .

Are the fiber plates the first to wear in a clutch ?

Thanks

Dan

I use the steel cuz they wont heat up as quick and warp, they dont contaminate the oil where alum does and turns the oil gray, and you get a little bit of a flywheel effect from them. I use all steel, except the fibers of course. I have not had to replace fibers yet on any bike for 25 yrs. The Tusk may be fine as mentioned.
